Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support its rapidly growing Data Center practice across multiple U.S. projects.

You will deliver fire protection designs, code analyses, and life safety engineering for mission-critical facilities, while collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure reliability and compliance. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of fire protection experience, a PE license, and a background in large-scale data center environments, with familiarity in NFPA, IBC,

Qualifications

• PE license is required to practice and lead projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience on data center or mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Fire Protection Engineer for Data Center and Mission Critical projects.
• Design fire protection systems, perform code analysis and life safety engineering.
• Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
• Lead design reviews and QA/QC across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
