Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support Data Center and Mission Critical projects across the United States. You will design fire protection systems, perform code analysis, and develop life-safety strategies meeting stringent reliability and code requirements.

Collaborate with clients, AHJs, and internal teams; lead multidisciplinary efforts, prepare design criteria, and help shape fire protection capabilities for hyperscale data centers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Fire Protection Engineer for Data Center and Mission Critical projects.
• Provide fire protection system design, code analysis, and life safety engineering.
• Establish project fire protection design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
• Coordinate fire protection designs with mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines.
• Interface with clients, AHJs, and project teams to obtain approvals and resolve issues.
• Support large-scale campus master planning and fire protection strategies for hyperscale data centers.
