Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support multi-project data center initiatives across the U.S. You will develop fire protection designs, perform code analyses, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet stringent reliability and safety standards.
The role requires strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC and experience with large-scale facilities. You will lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development efforts while maintaining high quality
Qualifications
- Licensed PE in fire protection or related discipline preferred.
- Experience designing fire protection for large data center or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC and related standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead fire protection design for Data Center and mission-critical projects.
- Perform code analyses and establish design criteria and standards.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Develop suppression concepts including water-based systems and specialty devices.
- Review hydraulic calculations and ensure code compliance
