Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical data center infrastructure across multiple sites. You will work with electrical and mechanical systems, support change management, and coordinate with contractors.

The role requires travel between data centers, willingness to work extended hours, and competence with MS Office for reporting and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance.
• 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Willingness to travel between data center sites.
• Flexibility to work odd hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily building rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installation and decommissioning within SLA.
• Complete PM activities, root cause analysis, and repairs of electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical writing to support change management processes.
