Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in New Albany, OH is seeking an Engineering Operation Technician to join the North Region. This role covers regional data center sites and requires hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance to keep critical systems running.

You will perform rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, install racks, handle preventive maintenance, and work with contractors. Travel between sites and rotating shifts are expected; candidates must be able to lift and work in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance or 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring all work performed is in accordance with established practices and local legislation.
• Work schedule changes depending on site needs; shifts up to 12 hours and may rotate on a predefined schedule.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
