Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Data Center Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L1) in Texas. This entry-level role provides first-line onsite technical support and field engineering services to clients, aiming for zero missed SLA conditions.

You will manage standard and low complexity incidents, perform routine tasks, and follow established procedures while coordinating with stakeholders to diagnose and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing.
• Associate level certification in Data Centre technologies such as Cisco, NetApp, EMC (DC).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client site infrastructure is configured, installed, tested and operational.
• Install and configure software as part of the solution per client requirements.
• Identify and log incidents with required detail and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with client IT environments, carriers and colleagues to expedite diagnosis and resolution.
• Investigate first line support calls to determine root cause using knowledge articles.
• Respond to alerts and escalate to L2 when unresolved in time.
• Update incidents with progress and resolution details in the ticketing system.
• Provide first line remote and onsite technical support and field engineering services.
• Escalate issues to third party vendors when necessary.
• Follow handover procedures for shift changes to ensure service continuity.
