Job summary

Sundt Enterprise in Lockhart, TX is seeking an entry-level Project Engineering Assistant to support the Project Engineer as the technical information source for the project.

You will respond to questions about drawings and specifications, assist with submittals, change orders, RFl's, meeting minutes, and budgeting tasks, while developing through a three-step career path. This role emphasizes teamwork with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility and communicate with others is essential.
• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other tasks, and reviews/submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting.
• Supports understanding and execution of the project management plan (PMP) and change management process; assists with project scope activities.
• Ensures administration of the project quality management plan and reinforces a culture of safety on the project.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work; participates in risk management and environmental controls.
• May oversee/manages BIM (Building Information Modeling) coordination between subcontractors and designers.
• May document and submit LEED certification materials and create/update Digital Record Drawings (ORD).
• May provide lines, grades and layout as required for the project and maintain an organized logbook.
• May provide weekly quantities and maintain quantity logs; contributes to budgeting and cost control to meet budget.
• Provides support to superintendents for execution of work and assists in resolving field problems.
