Job summary

Sundt Construction in Temple, TX seeks an entry-level Field Engineer to support project engineering, respond to questions about drawings and specs, and assist in change orders, RFl's, and meeting minutes. You will work with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

In this role, you will help with BIM coordination, ORD documentation and LEED tasks, and provide weekly quantity logs while upholding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent field experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to interface and communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer with drawings, submittals, change orders and meeting minutes.
• Support PMP plan and change management; help with project scope and cost forecasting.
• Assist in administering the project quality management plan and safety culture.
• Assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work and support cost control.
• Coordinate BIM coordination between Subcontractors and Designers and support ORD creation.
• Assist documentation and submittals for LEED Certification and ORD updates.
• Provide lines, grades and layout as required for the project and maintain logs.
• Maintain quantity logs and reports quantities in cost control, supporting budgeting.
• Support superintendents and help resolve field problems.
