Job summary

Sundt is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer Assistant in Austin, TX. You will support the Project Engineer with drawing questions, submittals, and change orders, while helping maintain meeting minutes and daily reports.

You will participate in BIM coordination, LEED documentation, and cost tracking under supervision, advancing through the three-step progression (I, II, Senior). This role emphasizes safety and collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer with drawing/spec clarification and submittals.
• Support in change orders, RFIs, meeting minutes and budget forecasting.
• Maintain and manage daily reports and meeting agendas.
• Support BIM coordination between subs and designers.
• Help with LEED documentation and ORD updates.
• Contribute to cost tracking and variance analysis as needed.
• Assist field teams and resolve on-site problems.
• Document and organize project records for audits.
• Uphold safety culture and quality management on site.
