Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Berwick, PA is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities and keep cloud services available. You will perform daily rounds on electrical and mechanical systems, monitor BMS/EPMS, support rack deployments, and work with contractors on site.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• -2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance or 2+ years electrical facilities maintenance and 1+ years mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• -2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring work complies with practices and local legislation.
• Shift flexibility; some locations have 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
