Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission‑critical data center facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and fire/life safety equipment.

The role requires 2+ years in electrical/ mechanical facilities maintenance and the ability to travel between multiple data centers. You will work with on‑site teams to ensure safety, reliability, and uptime, with shifts up to 12 hours and potential site

Qualifications

• 2+ years electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Willingness to travel between data center sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily building rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Execute PM, troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support change management with technical writing.
