Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to be on the front line of hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance for mission-critical facilities in the Chantilly area.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair essential data center systems to help sustain 99.999% uptime and support safe, efficient operations. You will work with a diverse team of engineers, suppliers, and facility staff, with shifts up to 12 hours and potential travel between sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience OR 2+ years electrical facilities maintenance with 1+ years mechanical experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
