Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to upkeep electrical and mechanical facilities, ensuring high uptime across data centers. You will monitor power, cooling, and safety systems, troubleshoot rack events, and coordinate with contractors.

Shifts may be lengthy and vary by site, with opportunities to work across multiple locations in Texas. Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience, strong documentation skills, and flexibility for rotations and travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety equipment.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS for 24/7 reliability.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Manage and execute projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors per procedures.
