Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring 99.999% uptime across global data centers. You will work with a cross-functional team handling electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, from commissioning to preventive maintenance.

The role requires flexibility for long shifts, travel between sites, and collaboration with contractors to uphold safety and efficiency, with relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, overnights, and weekends.
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical facilities maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Contribute to change management through technical writing.
• Track daily work requests and drive to resolution; lead project execution from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors; ensure compliance with practices and local regulations.
• Adapt work schedule with site needs; shifts up to 12 hours; some locations on-call; role may cover multiple sites.
