Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join a frontline operations team responsible for 24/7 reliability.

You will supervise electrical and mechanical systems, monitor BMS/EPMS, and troubleshoot facility events to keep critical infrastructure running smoothly. Role requires physical fitness for lifting, heights, and travel between sites, with on-site support for contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.
• Able to work at heights and from ladders.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.
