Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, ensuring high reliability and uptime.

You will work on electrical and mechanical systems, participate in PM activities, and coordinate with contractors on-site. The role requires travel between AZ data centers, flexibility in scheduling, and ability to work with a range of equipment including switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs and perform rack installs/decommissions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and repairs on electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Support change management with technical writing and project execution from conception to completion.
