Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems. You will monitor BMS/EPMS, perform PMs, handle rack installs/decommissions, and work with contractors to ensure safety and uptime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and/or mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment and ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLAs and complete PM tasks.
• Provide technical writing to support change management and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Willingness to travel between data center sites as needed and support multiple locations.
