Job summary

Edged Data Centers in Atlanta seeks a Site Operations Lead to mentor a facilities team and ensure uptime across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire life safety systems. You will manage shift coverage, plan maintenance, and drive continuous improvement in a high-availability data center environment.

The role requires 5–7 years in data centers, 2–3 years in supervision, and strong CMMS/BMS skills. Expect challenging incidents, safety compliance, and collaboration with IT, Projects, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent military training or experience.
• 5–7 years in data center, critical facilities, or mission-critical environments.
• 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire life safety systems.
• Experience with CMMS, BMS, and other monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of facility technicians for high performance.
• Oversee shift coverage, work assignments, and resource allocation.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support career development for reports.
• Foster safety, compliance, and teamwork across operations.
• Report staffing and issues to Site Operations Manager for alignment.
• Ensure operations comply with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review JHAs, MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs for approvals.
• Lead audits, inspections, and training to maintain readiness and compliance.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire life safety systems.
• Oversee CMMS for maintenance planning; ensure accurate logs and docs.
• Escalate high-impact issues to SOM and drive root-cause analysis.
