Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee data center facilities, working with the Chief Engineer to ensure reliable operation, safety, and efficiency. You will manage technical teams and coordinate maintenance across critical power, cooling, and network systems.

The role requires 5+ years in data center management, strong leadership, and experience with facility management software. On-site work in LaGrange, GA with 24x7 readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of data center operations and management.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure including power, cooling and network.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, TIA and Uptime Institute standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency with facility management software and building automation systems.
• Valid certification in at least one area (CDCP, DCPRO, or equivalent).
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and coordination of data center facility operations and maintenance.
• Supervise and mentor technical staff, engineers, technicians and contractors.
• Monitor and analyze critical systems performance (power, cooling, network).
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Respond to and manage critical incidents and emergencies.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and clients.
• Be the first point of contact for service impacting events in the electrical distribution system.
• Assist in troubleshooting and incident mitigation.
• Assist in root cause analysis (RCA).
• Provide after-hours support for electrical distribution systems (24x7).
