Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician in Oregon to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities, including standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment.

You will work with a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, support change management, and handle on-site coordination with contractors while embracing AWS culture and safety standards.

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Produce technical writing to support change management program.
Monitor daily work requests and drive to resolution; lead projects from conception to completion.
Provide on-site support of contractors, subcontractors and vendors per established practices and local legislation.
