Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Oregon’s Hermiston region is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission‑critical facilities.

You’ll monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to help ensure 24/7 uptime and reliable service for customers worldwide. You’ll work on standby generators, switchgear, UPS, PDU, cooling systems, and related equipment, with opportunities to collaborate across teams and grow your hands-on technical skills in a dynamic

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds and monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
