Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Oregon seeks an Engineering Operations Technician for AWS Support to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities.

You will handle standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS, PDUs, CRAC, chillers, cooling towers, and related equipment to ensure peak uptime. This role involves PM, incident response, and collaboration with contractors, with shifts up to 12 hours and potential travel between sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors; ensure compliance with procedures.
