Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join our AWS data centers in Oregon. You will be hands-on with electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and fire/life safety gear.

The role requires travel between centers and adaptability to on-call rotations, with a strong focus on reliability and safety. You will monitor BMS/EPMS, perform preventive maintenance, and support change management with thorough

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.
Ability to lift up to 39 pounds and work on ladders as required.

Responsibilities

Perform daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
Carry out PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment.
Prepare technical documentation to support change management.
