Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to serve as the front line for hands-on electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance in support of AWS data centers in Oregon.

You will monitor and troubleshoot standby generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and fire/life safety equipment while coordinating with contractors and site leadership to ensure uptime and safety. The role requires flexibility for shifts and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products experience
• 4+ years of military experience or vocational/technical training preferred

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems for reliability
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment and document changes
