Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician for the DCC Communities.

You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance on mission-critical data center equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems, to help achieve 99.999% uptime. The role requires moving between sites, traveling as needed, long shifts up to 12 hours, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance or mechanical facilities experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Willingness to travel to data center locations between sites.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors; ensure work aligns with procedures & local regulations.
