Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician for DCC Communities in the United States. The role focuses on hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance of data center facilities, including standby generators, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and fire/life safety systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years' experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Management System.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with practices and local legislation.
• Work schedule changes depending on site needs; shifts can be up to 12 hours and may rotate; some locations have on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
