Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician for DCC Communities to serve as the front line for hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of mission-critical data center facilities.

You will work on stand-by diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and fire/life safety equipment. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineers across AWS to maintain high uptime while supporting safety,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance or mechanical facilities experience.
• Experience reading/writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• Carry out PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation to support change management.
