Job summary

AWS in Ohio seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to join the frontline team maintaining critical data center infrastructure, including generators, 3‑phase power, UPS, PDUs, cooling, and fire/life safety systems. You’ll conduct rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, and support change management with precise documentation.

The role requires 2+ years in electrical/mechanical maintenance, flexibility to work long shifts, and travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Responsibilities

Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within internal SLA
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA
PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
Technical writing to support change management program
Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion
On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors ensuring work complies with practices and local laws
Role may support more than one location/site
