Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities across locations in Ohio.

You will monitor power, cooling, and life-safety systems, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex rack-level issues to ensure 24/7 operations. The role requires 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience, a flexible schedule, and willingness to travel between data center sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.
• Preferred: data center or mission critical facility experience.
• Associate degree or higher in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repairs of equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Track daily work requests to resolution and drive projects end-to-end.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to practices and local laws.
• Shift changes up to 12 hours; some locations may rotate; may support multiple sites.
