Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical infrastructure, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems.

You will perform routine PMs, support incident resolution, and travel between data centers as needed. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, with up to 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS for uptime.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning per SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs.
• Create technical documentation to support change management.
• Coordinate on-site with contractors to ensure compliance.
• Shift rotations can include 12-hour cycles and on-call.
