Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician in Hermiston, OR to perform hands-on electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance, monitor BMS and EPMS, and support 24/7 uptime of critical infrastructure.

You will conduct rounds, assist rack installs, troubleshoot events, and document changes while coordinating with site FM and vendors. Flex scheduling and travel between sites are expected; candidates must be able to work extended shifts and be open to on-site

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance and 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
Troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events within internal SLA.
Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
Technical writing to support change management.
Coordinate with site Facilities Manager and vendors; travel between sites as needed.
