Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Oregon (Umatilla) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical infrastructure and ensure high availability.

You will be hands-on with electrical and mechanical systems, generators, UPS, switchgear, and cooling equipment, performing troubleshooting, PMs, and routine operations on site. Candidates should have at least 1 year of electrical or mechanical facilities maintenance and be willing to work flexible shifts, including

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds and monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on-site per established procedures.
• Work shifts up to 12 hours and may rotate; travel to multiple sites as needed.
