Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in New Carlisle, IN is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join our operations team. This role focuses on hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring high reliability for mission-critical facilities.

You will perform daily rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, support rack installs, and collaborate with vendors. Travel between sites may be required, and shifts can be up to 12 hours with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Experience with documenting procedures and technical writing is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS and respond to alarms.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• Support change management with technical documentation.
• Coordinate with on-site contractors and vendors per procedures.
• Travel between data centers and on-call rotations may occur.
