Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and operate mission-critical facilities, including diesel generators, UPS, PDUs, CHILLERS, and cooling systems across AWS data centers.

You will monitor BMS/EPMS, troubleshoot issues, and support change management while ensuring safety and efficiency. The role requires 2+ years in electrical/mechanical maintenance, MS Office proficiency, and flexibility for shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of equipment.
• Prepare technical change management documents.
• Manage daily work requests from conception to completion.
• Coordinate on-site with contractors and vendors per procedures & local law.
• Work shifts up to 12 hours and may rotate; some locations require on-call rotations.
• Role may support multiple locations/sites.
