Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission‑critical facilities, including generators, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems. You’ll work with a diverse team to ensure 99.999% uptime and support multiple sites as needed.

Responsibilities include daily rounds, BMS/EPMS monitoring, rack deployment, PM tasks, and on‑site contractor coordination. Flexible shifts and travel to active data centers are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• Create technical writeups to support change management.
• Manage daily work requests to resolution and lead projects end-to-end.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors; ensure compliance with procedures and laws.
• Shift schedules can be up to 12 hours; some sites may have on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
