Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facility equipment across AWS data centers.

The role emphasizes front-line electrical and mechanical hands-on work supporting diesel generators, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems. Ideal candidates will have experience in electrical/mechanical facilities maintenance and be able to travel between sites, with shifts up to 12 hours and potential on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities
• Work a flexible work schedule including evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs and assist in projects from conception to completion.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Assist on-site with contractors and vendors ensuring work meets standards and local regulations.
