Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities to maintain mission-critical data center facilities, including standby generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems.

You will join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, perform rounds, troubleshooting, PMs, and on-site support, with travel between sites and rotating shifts.

This role offers relocation stipend and a path to contribute to 99.999% uptime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations.
• Ability to work flexible shifts up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Install and decommission racks within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation to support change management.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on site.
