Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical infrastructure, delivering high uptime and reliability.

You will work with electrical and mechanical systems, supporting BMS/EPMS, and coordinating with contractors across sites. The role requires flexible shifts, potential travel between data centers, and on-call rotations to sustain 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to travel to multiple data center locations.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Manage daily work requests and drive to resolution; execute projects end-to-end.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors; ensure work follows practices and laws.
• Shift changes up to 12 hours; rotations and on-call may apply; role may cover multiple sites.
