Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities, including standby diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems.

You will perform daily rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, and support change management. This role requires travel between data center sites, ability to work 12-hour shifts, and a focus on safety and uptime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors; ensure compliance with practices and local legislation.
• Work schedule changes; shifts up to 12 hours; some locations on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
