Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join our on-site team in support of mission-critical facilities.

You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure 24/7 data center reliability. Role requires travel between data center sites as needed, with potential shifts up to 12 hours and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical writing to support change management.
• Oversee daily work requests from conception to completion.
