Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission‑critical infrastructure and ensure 99.999% uptime across AWS data centers in Oregon.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, monitor BMS/EPMS, and coordinate with contractors to deliver reliable, cost‑effective operations. The role involves traveling between sites, supporting shifts up to 12 hours, and relocation stipends for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• Conduct PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical writeups to support change management.
• Manage daily work requests and drive projects from concept to completion.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors per established practices.
