Job summary

Amazon Avondale, AZ is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join the frontline team responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance of mission-critical facilities. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair data center infrastructure including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, and cooling systems.

The role requires flexible scheduling, travel between sites, and working with contractors to ensure 24/7 uptime and safety compliance across multiple data center locations

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure safety and compliance.
• Support shifts up to 12 hours and possible on-call rotations.
