Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Phoenix seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission‑critical facilities and keep the cloud running 24/7.

You’ll work hands‑on with diesel generators, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and life‑safety systems while collaborating with a diverse tech team. Strong candidates have 2+ years in electrical and mechanical maintenance, plus MS Office experience, and a willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast‑paced

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of electrical facilities maintenance with 1+ year mechanical.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.
• Experience reading procedures and engineering documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Management System.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and repairs of equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation for change management.
• Coordinate with on‑site contractors and vendors per practices and laws.
• Support shift changes and potential on‑call rotations.
