Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician in Mesa, AZ to serve on the front line of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance. You will monitor and troubleshoot critical data center infrastructure, including standby diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems, ensuring uptime and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Technical writing to support change management
• Support on-site coordination with contractors and vendors
