Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join our team in the United States. You will be on the front lines of electrical and mechanical maintenance for mission-critical facilities, keeping systems like generators, UPS, PDUs, chillers, and cooling towers running to ensure near-constant uptime.

This role requires flexible shifts, travel between data center sites, and the ability to work up to 12-hour days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs.
• Prepare technical change-management documentation.
• Manage work requests and project execution from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors to ensure compliance.
• Shifts can be up to 12 hours and travel between sites may be required.
• Role may support multiple locations.
