Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support 24/7 data center infrastructure. The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of critical facility equipment, with rotating 12-hour shifts and potential night/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk job sites on uneven terrain.
• Work at heights and from ladders.
• Regularly lift up to 49 pounds and participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more.
• Work in noisy environments and in cramped locations.
• Ability to work non-standard hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical data center equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance tasks (filters, HVAC PMs, rack power installs).
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during work.
• Take daily readings of mechanical/electrical systems during rounds.
