Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to join our Data Center Facilities team. You will perform front-line maintenance, monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, and support tests and changes to ensure 24/7 uptime.

This role requires on-site work on rotating shift schedules, with overtime opportunities and night differentials. You will collaborate with contractors and internal teams to keep critical infrastructure running safely.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or fire suppression systems.
• Ability to bend, lift 39 pounds and work at heights on construction sites.
• Willingness to work long shifts and be on-site for rotating schedules.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical and fire/life safety systems.
• Operate and monitor Building Management Systems and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Install/decommission racks within SLA and perform PMs.
• Provide technical writing to support change management and coordinate with vendors.
