Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks an Engineering Operations Technician to join our on-site data center team. You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot critical electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems in world-class facilities.

As a front-line responder, you’ll work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, support vendors, and ensure 24/7 reliability in demanding environments. You’ll collaborate with FM, facilities, and technical staff to keep the cloud running.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 39 pounds.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor building management and power management systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
