Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. operates world-class data centers and seeks an Engineering Operations Technician to keep critical infrastructure running 24/7.

You will be part of a team that responds to events, performs preventative maintenance, and implements new technology to meet evolving demands. The role requires hands-on work with electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, along with clear documentation and collaboration with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, or fire suppression.
• Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
