Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an on-site Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure.

You will work in shifts to ensure 24/7 reliability, monitoring electrical and mechanical systems, fire/life safety equipment, and building management systems. You will troubleshoot incidents, perform preventive maintenance, participate in change management, and coordinate with contractors to complete projects on site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems.
• Knowledge of network design and low voltage cabling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds to monitor and record info from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Install and decommission racks within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment; document changes.
